What’s different about your Dental Gel?
NutriBiotic Dental Gel is one of the few natural dentifrice’s available in gel form rather than paste or powder. Our Dental Gel uses natural ingredients, is only mildly abrasive, and contains ingredients known to support healthy teeth and gums. It is free of fluoride, which has stirred some controversy due to its toxicity.
Speaking of controversy, why are you using sorbitol? I’ve heard some negative things about it.
Sorbitol is an all-natural derivative of fruits and berries. It is considered to be a sugar, similar to glycerin, and in cosmetic and personal care formulations it often is used instead of glycerin. Sorbitol has also been used as a sweetener in place of sugar (sucrose) in diabetic/dietetic foods. Sorbitol is also used medicinally in intravenous solution to regulate the water balance in the body. While sorbitol can potentially cause diarrhea when consumed in large quantities (20 grams or more, or about one heaping tablespoon), this is not likely to happen while brushing one’s teeth. A search of the FDA’s toxicology databank turned up no reports of toxicity whatsoever.
Will the Dental Gel whiten my teeth?
Dental Gel is not a whitening product, most of which rely on the bleaching action of hydrogen peroxide or other whitening agents. Many over the counter whitening preparations have come under scrutiny recently due to their potential for harming tooth enamel with continued use. NutriBiotic’s Dental Gel thoroughly cleans teeth and aids in maintaining healthy gums and will keep teeth from developing stains.
Is the Dental Gel safe for children to use?
Yes. Since there is no fluoride, there is no possibility of toxicity due to swallowing the gel.
What exactly is Golden Peppermint flavor?
It’s a description for the Lemon-Mint flavor of the product.

Derived from natural plant sources (berries, cherries, plums, pears, apples, seaweed, algae, etc.). Lends sweetness and thickness to the product.
Sodium Bicarbonate
Baking soda. Used as a mild abrasive and polishing agent.
Hydrated Silica
Natural mineral used for polishing the teeth.
Glycerin
Vegetable origin. Humectants, used for thickening the product and as a neutral carrier.
Aloe Vera Gel
Included for its soothing and healing properties.
Purified Water
Grapefruit Seed Extract
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Detergent and wetting agent. Comprises less than 0.4% of the total solution.
Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate
Similar to above, but used as a foaming agent. Comprises less than .04% of the total solution.
Sanguinaria Extract
A natural extract from the roots of a North American herb also known as Bloodroot. Soothing to the skin, promotes production of saliva which helps to keep the mouth environment acidic. Helps prevent growth of decay-promoting bacteria forming a protective barrier against bacterial growth for up to 4 hours. Also useful for stopping bleeding of cuts and sores.
Stevia Extract
A natural sweetening agent derived from the leaves of the plant Stevia rebaudiana. This extract is 200 times sweeter than sugar. It is used to give sweetness to the product instead of saccharine.
Sodium Ascorbate/Calcium Ascorbate
Buffered (non-acidic) forms of vitamin C for strengthening gums.
Vitamin E Acetate
Acts as an antioxidant and is soothing to the tissues.
Boron Citrate
Natural mineral reacted with citric acid. Important for remineralization of the enamel surface of the tooth. Boron is necessary for production of healthy bones and teeth. Also has a mild antiseptic quality.
Zinc Citrate
Natural mineral reacted with citric acid. Important for production of healthy bones and teeth. Also used for its astringent properties.
Natural Oils of Peppermint, Lemon & Lime
Natural flavoring.
