Fritz Oppliger is now the manufacturer of the Alpha-Genesis Incubators. He has been part of the development of the Alpha-Genesis from the beginning starting with the AG600. He and Mr. Bauer have worked closely together until Mr. Bauer's retirement in 2006.

About Incubator Design

Egg Placement and Movement:

Any kind of roller system, shuttle or "moving carpet" design will produce unpredictable positioning. Although this solves the problem of imprinting mechanical symmetry on the developing egg, results will be random and beyond your control. With these designs, eggs can (and do) revolve with their air cell coming to rest straight up or down instead at the optimal angle. Small eggs are rotated far greater than large ones. During their rolling, eggs are impacted into each other and/or the retaining bars. The rollers or carpet also obstruct or pattern air flow around the egg creating uneven temperatures. The ALPHA-GENESIS egg suspension system guarantees that you are in complete control of positioning requirements. Once placed, the egg experiences no vibration or impact of any kind. Eggs are supported by open stainless steel mesh that allows the warmed air to flow evenly around them. This also facilitates uniformity of temperature in the entire egg zone unequaled by any other design.

Sanitation:

An incubator is only as good as its ability to be maintained in a clean, pathogen-free condition. ALPHA-GENESIS incubators are designed so that there are no inaccessible air ducts or chambers and the ALPHA-GENESIS can be completely disassembled without the use of tools. We also offer an ozone generator option that allows you to safely disinfect the entire unit in 30 minutes while the incubator is running. There is no toxic residue. The large A-G water reservoir simply lifts off for easy cleaning.

Power Outage Security:

What do you do when the public power fails and your incubator is full of valuable eggs? The ALPHA-GENESIS takes care of all that for you without gas generators, expensive battery-inverter systems or power monitoring systems, even when you are asleep or away. A-G Power Backup Units are only 3"X6.5"X 7-14" and runs the unit for 8 to16 hours, then recharges itself when the power returns! This is all possible because the ALPHA-GENESIS is over 400% more energy efficient than the German import.
